He carefully explains how to obtain million dollars of assets without going into debt. It also includes several chapters offering invaluable insight on topics beyond a basic how-to. Thanks to popular reality TV programs, everybody thinks that they can become a millionaire overnight by flipping houses. Obviously, nothing could be further from the truth. It is a thorough guide and a must-read if you are interested in the flipping real estate business and even experienced renovators might pick up a thing or two. From learning how to evaluate potential markets to getting financing for a rehab property to hiring contractors, and eventually putting the home back on the market, you cannot go wrong with this one.

4. Every Landlord Legal Guide by Marcia Stewart, Ralph Warner, & Janet Portman

Even the most successful landlord can find him or herself ruined by one too many lawsuits. Thankfully, this book can guide you through the ins and outs of tenant-landlord laws to avoid a financially and emotionally draining mistake. It includes everything a landlord should know. It covers common issues such as security deposits, evictions, and lease terminations as well as less common ones like landlord liability, subletting requests, and solving disagreements without a lawyer.
